The GID-1417 is a broadband VHF high band whip antenna, suitable for full VHF high band 148-174 MHz communication requirements such as used by emergency services communications, civilian VHF CB radio communications or some military applications. The GID-1417 broadband VHF whip antenna requires a UHF female SO-239 terminated base such as the RA-4.7 right-angle UHF female terminated cable base or MGB-UHF magnetic base. Mount the GID-1417 broadband VHF whip antenna as high as practical and safe on your vehicle or structure to ensure a true omni-directional signal path.
