The ZCG Scalar A-1269-14 is a heavy-duty 304 stainless steel barrel (beehive) spring with extension base, designed to improve antenna mounting position and durability in demanding mobile installations. Engineered for applications where clearance from vehicle structures is critical, this spring assembly helps position the radiating element away from bull bars, mirror arms, roof racks, and other metal framework that can obstruct signal performance. Measuring 172 mm in length, the A-1269-14 provides added elevation and flexibility, helping protect antennas from impact while also improving radiation efficiency by reducing interaction with nearby conductive surfaces. The robust 304 stainless steel construction offers excellent resistance to corrosion, vibration, and fatigue, making it well suited to harsh outdoor and off-road environments. The base features ZCG Scalar?s standard 1/2"-20 UNF thread, requiring a minimum 12.7 mm mounting hole, and includes a securing nut for reliable installation. The M10 top thread is compatible with a wide range of ZCG Scalar antenna models, particularly the SG series, providing a secure and mechanically stable connection between the antenna and mounting point. Ideal for bull bar, mirror mount, and frame mounting applications, the A-1269-14 not only enhances antenna survivability but also helps maintain more consistent communication performance.
